It came on for a second at the stop sign, then went out when you accelerated. No noise, no smoke, no temperature gauge climbing. Every instinct says keep going and deal with it at the weekend.
Do not. The red oil can is the one warning on a European dashboard that means stop the engine now, and drivers around Milton and north Alpharetta see it most on cold mornings in late autumn, when thick oil and a marginal system finally disagree. A flicker at idle is the cheapest version of this problem you will ever be offered. Thirty seconds of driving on genuinely low pressure can end an engine.

Then we look at the oil itself — level, condition, and what is caught in the filter media. Metal in the filter changes the conversation entirely.
